When i made my monk, i had no intention of farming with her, i just liked healing people lol..anyways, i've been running CoF for a while now and i think i want to try to do SoO...i've been on free runs on my perma a lot to learn that i needed the skill.."I am unstoppable." So i did the quests for this skill and realized that it gave you armor as well. Seeing as when i get the great dwarf blessing in CoF, my spirit bond wouldn't trigger i'm guessing that it gave me too much armor?( i have the 15 al from shing jea for my 600 armor b/c i trashed my starter armor)does this mean i will not be able to run SoO on my current monk? does anyone know?

If you are doing it in HM, the armor bonus from IAU won't be enough to lower the damage you receive that much. Even in NM it should still be enough damage. If you have been on the run and seen other people doing it, why would you think it won't work for you? Because you have a slightly higher armor (15AL)? I've done SoO with 15AL armor for my Monk, and IAU didn't give me trouble.

I think most people run SoO with rangers storm chaser instead.
but idk have never done it before myself

Even if they do, they use IAU to deal with the Shock Elementalists. Getting knocked down when trying to cast your spells is not a good way to stay alive.

i run SoO the armor buffs that u get from the blessings and the armor buffs from iau will not effect u one bit at all..the only time u need the iau is for the shock and u do need it on the big war guys forgot what they are called

Without IAU and using 15AL armor wand hits will all trigger spirit bond. When you activate IAU some of the wand hits will start to slip under 60 damage, so SoA becomes a bit more important.

On the last couple of enemies in a group you may have to leave it off, even if there is a skelly wizard or two left to ensure you have enough spirit bond triggers to keep your bar up.

Still very very doable though, and actually pretty easy when you've done it a couple of times. Worst part of that dungeon is the boss, and you don't need IAU for him.

K, thanks for the help guys!...and the reason i thought i might not be able to do it is because i thought the runners might've had 5 AL beginner armor. As mentioned above i didn't intend on 600ing when i made my monk
